About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Project Management Senior Manager to join the Commercial Banking Chief Administrative Office (CAO) - Business Enablement team.

The Business Enablement team is responsible for driving greater alignment, effectiveness, and measurement across Commercial Banking strategic initiatives to achieve our desired customer and business outcomes. This role is aligned to support the Commercial Banking Loan Accounting and Servicing portfolio team. This leader will manage a team of employees and contractors responsible for working with Product, LOB, Operations, and Technology partners to deliver commercial loan accounting related strategic initiatives, including products and capabilities, platform modernization, process improvements and regulatory reporting priorities.

This leader must work well in a rapid-paced environment and be passionate about leading transformational change. Superior collaboration and relationship building skills with the ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization is a requirement.

In this role, you will:
  • Manage and develop a team of individuals associated with highly complex projects
  • Engage and influence more experienced leadership and major stakeholders to establish strategic plans and objectives for programs or projects
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for high level strategies on business, product, customer service needs, analyze profitability, policy, programs and staffing to ensure optimal business results, initiate or direct high risk programs or projects
  • Determine appropriate strategy and actions of change management team to meet performance objectives, including application of leadership objective, assessment of expected individual competencies in learning agility, ownership, stakeholder partnership and network performance
  • Interpret and develop government regulations and enterprise policies for highly complex, high risk programs or projects
  • Collaborate with and influence more experienced leadership and major stakeholders to establish strategic plans and objectives for programs or projects
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in Project Management
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges related to Product Delivery that require solid analytical skills, extensive knowledge of Product, Program and Project Management and an understanding of the commercial lending business, delivering longer term and large-scale solutions. Drive financial and business case development
  • Provide vision, direction, and expertise to the direct team, senior leadership and stakeholders in the delivery of innovative and significant business solutions that are large scale, cross organizational in nature and align to Enterprise and Commercial Banking strategic objectives
  • Lead team meetings, product cabinets or steering committees to drive transparency and visibility on the performance of initiatives and facilitate decision making and support implementation of recommendations and plans

Required Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of Project Management and Methodologies, Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years of Management experience

Desired Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry, with broad knowledge in more than one of the following areas: commercial lending, regulatory reporting, data and analytics, product management, business process management, and commercial lending technology
  • Expert understanding of, and experience with, both waterfall and agile delivery methodologies.
  • Experience in driving program and product teams in the creation of product strategy, Objective and Key Results (OKRs), and product roadmaps.
  • Ability to manage multiple high risk / high priority initiatives with high complexity/high dependencies simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills with specific ability to communicate effectively at executive level regarding status and escalations, both written and verbally.
  • Prior experience and proven track record working on large scale, intense transformation/change management initiatives across a wide range of functions, including data, reporting, and technology.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with implementing new commercial loan accounting platforms, system upgrades and/or application conversions (AFS, Loan IQ, McCracken and Asset Based Lending) is a strong plus.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important to gain commitment to accomplish business goals.
  • Energetic contributor who is passionate, flexible, conscientious and has a demonstrated ability to work in matrixed environments.
  • Develops an independent point of view and can lead teams through problem solving.
  • Experience in machine learning or artificial intelligence is a plus.
  • Demonstrated expertise with MS Office product suite, SharePoint, Confluence and Jira tools, including the development of reports/metrics dashboards.
  • A BS/BA degree or higher preferred

  • Ability to travel up to 20%

Pay Range
$120,400.00 - $287,600.00
