Description
Join JP Morgan and be a vital part of the Business Architecture Core Services Team, where you'll play a key role in delivering cutting-edge applications and tools for data management, analytics, and reporting. As a Product Owner, you'll collaborate with and technology teams in an agile environment, ensuring the build-out and modernization of applications align with critical firm-wide initiatives and maximize value delivery. Your expertise will move innovation and contribute to the success of our internal and external reporting capabilities.The Business Architecture Core Services Team is responsible for the delivery of applications and tools that enable data management, controls, data modelling and aggregation, analytics, and reporting. Your primary responsibility will be working on the build out and modernization of applications and services utilized for both internal and external reporting that align to critical firm-wide initiatives. You will partner with users and technology delivering within an agile framework responsible for managing the prioritized backlog to ensure the team is always maximizing delivery value against the firm's goals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work in an Agile framework to write business requirements (in the form of user stories) to enhance the data, reporting automation, and digital analytics toolsets
- Automate the data aggregation and business process for external regulatory reporting using both big data and cloud based solutions and prioritize the backlog of user stories for delivery, based on alignment to the schedule deployment plan
- Understand current and target state system architecture and metadata banking products and build reporting logic using query languages to aggregate, filter, and transform data
- Engage with development teams to ensure business needs are translated into appropriate technical specifications, and acceptance criteria is met
- Define a strategic onboarding and deployment plan for reports and schedules based on data consumer needs, and business benefit to the firm
- Work with lines of business to understand their products, how data is captured, and how to strategically source data into a cloud based big data architecture
- Manage the end to end SDLC lifecycle from requirements gathering to grooming to develop to testing and deployment in partnership with Implementation leads, Release managers, Project managers and other data SMEs understand various Lines of Business and asset class data and source system flows and complexities as it relates to the Finance and Risk applications and infrastructure
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- 4-6 years of related experience financial services and/or regulatory reporting is a plus
- Tableau and data wrangling (e.g. Alteryx) experience is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple streams of work concurrently
- Experience with Agile delivery, JIRA, Confluence is preferred
- Overall strong desktop skills with particular emphasis in Excel
- Strong skills interacting with data including using SQL or Python to query and interact with data
- Strong interpersonal and partnership skills, communicating and presenting to various levels of stakeholders
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelors' degree required and knowledge and experience of traditional credit (Loans, Deposits, Cash) and trading products (Derivatives and Securities) is a plus
- Experience with designing and/or building user facing data analytics tools with demonstrated knowledge of one or more data & business intelligence concepts including ETL, Data Modeling, Reporting Automation, and/or Dashboarding
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to tailor messaging to various audiences and strong analytical and problem solving skills; sound judgment with a risk mindset
- Experience in planning, coordinating, and delivering results across multiple teams and interdependencies
