Description
Join our Commercial & Investment Bank Analytics team to help identify and implement solutions that streamline and optimize data curation, modeling, and delivery. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply your data expertise to help our BI and Analytics teams use data more effectively and efficiently to drive business value and innovation.As a Data Product Owner within the Commercial & Investment Bank, you will leverage your expertise in data management technologies to design and implement innovative solutions that enhance data product delivery, improve data access, and ensure data quality and completeness. You will work closely with BI and Analytics teams, business stakeholders, and technical partners to drive impactful data initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Gather requirements, architect, and implement data models within a data mesh framework for efficient data curation.
- Oversee data management processes, ensuring data integrity and compliance with governance policies.
- Collaborate with platform data architects to design consumption data models (Data Vaults).
- Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure data solutions meet business needs.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in data management and analytics.
- Apply new knowledge to drive innovation within the team.
- Provide matrix leadership and mentorship to product owners across geographies.
- Foster collaboration and innovation while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Identify potential risks related to data management and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure data security and compliance with internal and external regulations.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities:
- 10 years of experience in data analysis, solution development, and implementations in financial services or technology consulting.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis and discovery.
- Experience with cloud databases such as Databricks, Snowflake, and Redshift.
- Expertise in data modeling, including creation of ice-berg entities and adherence to data vault models.
- Familiarity with data ingestion patterns and tools, including Kafka, AWS Streaming, and batch processing.
- Proficiency in Python, Alteryx, Tableau, and other BI tools for data wrangling.
- Proven experience in a leadership role, managing teams and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within and across teams.
Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities:
- Experience in Banking, particularly in Corporate Lending.
- Knowledge of data governance and security practices.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools.
