Summary:
Work with the Vice President of Operations, Directors of Operations, Distribution Center Managers and Operational Excellence Team, in identifying and solving issues relating to the performance of the Distribution Centers. Review policies and procedures (SOPs), analyze data, develop reports and recommendations, and work with cross functional teams to implement improvement initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: SP Richards is focused on providing our customers with flawless and error free order processing and delivery. The Senior Director of Process Improvement will focus on the following duties to achieve that goal along with other duties assigned by the Vice President of Operations.
- Review company policies and operational processes to initiate process improvements
- Recommend and update policies and procedures to improve performance and efficiencies
- Ensure new processes are implemented properly and yield results
- Analyze data and information to identify business opportunities
- Investigate operational breakdowns to determine and rectify root causes
- Monitor progress and status of activities, initiatives, processes, programs, and projects while providing feedback, input, and reports to Vice President of Operations
- Create reports on key findings, assessments, plans and results from improvement initiatives
- Utilize data to develop tools/dashboards for forecasting purposes
- Work closely with executive management to achieve outcomes based on company goals
- Implement standardizations and quality framework in conjunction with DC management to aid in continuous improvement and cost mitigation efforts:
- Direct cross-functional teams in Kaizen to improve operations
- Enhance workflow and cross-departmental engagements
- Collaborate with Sales and Operations teams to improve cost-effectiveness across all platforms
- Build strong working relationships and an atmosphere of cooperation at the DC and corporate levels
- Keep updated on industry and market trends
- This position requires up to 50% travel
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
Minimum 5 years' experience in distribution related fields.
Knowledge of and aptitude for computers and systems required.
Computer Skills:
Knowledge of Inventory software, Order processing systems, Warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office applications (advanced Word, Excel and Power Point) a plus.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Organizational Skills:
Must be detailed oriented and exceptional in organization techniques. Must be self-motivated, with ability to set and achieve goals, and set priorities of multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
Reasoning Ability:
